ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The aim of the Canada-Israel Cardiovascular Innovation Forum is to:

To encourage early/mid-stage innovations in cardiovascular devices and digital heart health in Canada and Israel
-
To establish collaboration between Israel and Canada in developing and funding cardiovascular innovations through competitions
-
To grow network of interested investors and provide a vehicle for joint funding of promising early/mid-stage projects and companies
-
To provide young innovators an education experience in early/mid-stage company development
AREAS OF INTEREST
Early-stage companies seeking <$1 Million with projects in either cardiovascular devices or digital heart health are invited to submit applications.

Judging panels from each country will assess the projects of the other country.

The top rated projects from Israel and Canada in each category will present for 15 minutes, followed by a 5 minute question session on May 15, 2022.

Investors interested in cardiovascular innovations in both countries will be invited to attend the presentations virtually and to contact the companies of interest after the presentation.

There will be no application charges or attendance fees.

Canada-Israel Cardiovascular Innovation Forum does not commit funding to any applying group presenting at the forum, is not responsible for the statements of any group and does not bear any legal or financial responsibility for arrangements between investors and presenters that result from the Forum.

ELIGIBILITY & FUNDING REQUEST
Eligibility:

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the cardiovascular medical device or digital heart health fields
Fund Request:​

Funding threshold: <$1 Million

Budget should carefully itemize current funding request and time period
-
Milestones to assess progress are required

REVIEW CRITERIA & REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
Applications will be reviewed on the following criteria:

Novelty of innovation
-
Commercialization potential
-
Cardiovascular disease target
Reporting Requirement:​

Winners will be invited to present to a virtual audience, including investors, at CICI Forum event on May 15, 2022.

Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
